Discs
Labels: EXCELLENT +
All are richly coloured, unfaded & unblemished. Labels 2 & 3 bear a handful of light, well-aimed light spindle trails but there is no other trace of use/wear elsewhere.
Visual: EXCELLENT
Both discs are in superb shape and display only some harmless light inner-sleeve storage mark in strong daylight. In fact, apart from two light scuffs on side 2, all sides are completely free from any other noticeable marks or indeed a single scratch - even upon close examination directly beneath my unforgiving halogen desk lamp. All sides of this well looked-after set lie 100% flat on the turntable when playing.
Sound Quality: Disc 1: EXCELLENT Disc 2 EXCELLENT -
Clearly, both discs have received a minimal amount of careful play and are without any significant deterioration to the sound quality or any major faults. My single careful play-check at volume detected a hint of light background on the fade-in to 'Dear Prudence', but there is little else to fault on disc 1. There is some light playwear in some places on side 3 and a few light ticks on side 4. However, there are no major audible faults to either disc and much to enjoy.
Cover
EXCELLENT +
A superb clean, strong & unworn example which retains its high-gloss laminate all-round and still retaining a nice shade of white. The front panel is perfectly clean with just a hint of storage rubbing but no 'thumbnails' or even a single spine bend. The laminate also fully covers the raised front panel wording and the individual number is clean and unworn. Apart from a small shelfwear bruise to the lower right, all corners are in fine unworn shape - as are all of the top-opening edges. The rear panel is as clean and the front and retains the small 'stereo' logo in the upper right corner. The inside of the gatefold is immaculate & unblemished. The spine is clean and unworn with just a few tiny splits to the laminate, but all of the wording on this covered and readable. Finally, all seams of both pockets are smooth, unstressed and unsplit.
