LP -Visual and Play
All 4 sides of the LPs have been not only visually examined, but also played on a quality deck and carefully listened to all the way through all tracks on all sides.
Side 1 - Visual grading VG+ nothing deep but some light surface scratches. All the tracks played right through with no hops, no jumps, no skips, and no loud ticks or clicks except in the quiet gap between tracks 1 and 2 where there were three ticks. Play grading VG+
Side 2 - Visual grading VG+ nothing deep but some light surface scratches. Play grading VG+ all tracks played through well with no hops, no jumps, no sticks, no ticks. Some light background crackles detected in the quiet gaps between some of the earlier tracks.
Side 3 - Visual grading Excellent some markings in the runoff groove after the end of the music but no markings on the playing surface. This side plays Excellent all the way through. I heard just one faint click after the end in the run-out groove
Side 4 - Visual grading VG+ two long but light surface scratches which were too light to be detectable during play. Play graded Excellent. In all the tracks I heard just two faint clicks in the long and weird Revolution 9 track
95 minutes of wonderful MONO sound, The MONO mix, which was done by the Beatles themsleves, has quite a number of small differences from the stereo mix done by the Apple engineers. Details available on request.
