Description

Many Beatles LP’s are auctioned … but few of the prized MONO series.  Here find an original 1966 US pressing of "Yesterday And Today" in glorious MONO:

The Beatles: "Yesterday And Today”  (Capitol T2553)    MONO

(black label w/ rainbow colorband)

This is the "trunk cover" edition, issued shortly after the "butcher cover" fiasco.

The sound quality on this well recorded LP is superb.  The rhythm section is particularly impressive on this mono recording.  The bass is solid and powerful, the drums crisp and distinct.  I find this mono mix much superior to the stereo one.

Vinyl:  VG+   (play graded)

High gloss on this wax.

Surface scratches/scuffs are present.  Surface noise is audible between tracks and in quiet passages of one or two songs.  The wax plays much better than it looks.  Plays like VG++.  A wonderful sound experience.

Labels are clean and bright.

Spindle marks present but barely detectable.               (see photos)

Jacket:  VG

Front cover photo is clean, with bright colors.  Back cover photo (B&W) is overall clean and clear, except that a stain is seen above "Today" in the title.

Spine seam shows wear, with 7 inches of split.  Top seam shows 3/4 inch of seam split.  Bottom seam is fine.

Modest ring wear front and back.              (see photos)

Includes original inner sleeve in excellent condition.

Timeless Beatle classics as the original glorious mono mixes!!!

Terrific sound quality.

My Profile / Policies:

Music is my passion.  I’ve been a collector for more than 50 years and have thousands of records in my personal collection, focused largely on 50’s and 60’s rock ‘n’ roll.  Recently retired, I look to downsize and sell select portions of my collection in hopes of financing future purchases of a few special pieces.

All records I offer are from my personal collection, each cleaned using my Nitty Gritty Record Cleaning Machine.

All are play graded (not just visually graded), employing Goldmine Price Guide standards.

As I take great care to accurately describe my items, I do not accept returns unless my item description is incorrect.

All records are packaged with the wax outside the jacket (to avoid seam split in transit), enclosed in a plastic sleeve and shipped in robust record mailer boxes via USPS Media Mail, tracking included.

Payment expected within 3 business days of auction closing.
