Beatles Yesterday & Today Mono Superb Third State Butcher West Coast VG++/VG-.
Cover: VG++. Flawless peel job.I purchased this from Les Harris Records ( I believe from San Antonio,TX) from Goldmine magazine around 2000.It has been in a frame for most of the time since.The rest of the cover ( "6" in the lower right hand corner-L.A. Capitol Plant) has the typical corner dings,etc. that come from the Capitol sleeves from 57 years ago that have been handled (carefully in this case).There is a mysterious 5 inch long "scrubbed out" portion on the back sleeve which doesn't affect any type(I had forgotten about it as it's been framed *for the front artwork* for decades).Top spine nicely intact, beginning of seam split at cover opening.Side spine also nice,title intact almost no paper loss except a very tiny spot in the middle and at corner ding with a beginning of a(paper still attached)split. Bottom spine completely intact. Beginning of seam split at bottom cover opening. Slight bow on opening side,otherwise, flat. These typical wear items of a 50yrs+ Capitol cover are all very small. Disc: VG-.West Coast label,many surface scratches on both sides. I don't think I even felt compelled to play it except to check out the rare "Revolver tracks" mixes once upon acquiring it. Surprisingly, upon recent play test,it plays very well -only has medium crackle level in between tracks.The fidelity is there,too. I even heard the tambourine on ":We Can Work It Out".So,the disc (which is not really the crux of the issue here)looks rough,but plays surprisingly well with crackle level at about 4-5 out of 10 (10 being the worst).
I won't be able to give a refund on this item,please look at the photos and decide. Digital pictures of a cover are usually reality if the picture is clear(and the seller is scrupulous),a disc(again,not really the major factor here) is impossible to grade by way of pictures in my opinion.I also can send extra pictures if needed. I was blown away by the excellent peel job over 20 years ago and have rarely seen one this nice on ebay ever when I have checked randomly through the years. I upped the shipping on this one for the winner as I will certainly not send it media mail,insurance will be highly recommended.
