THE BEATLES - 'YESTERDAY'
1966 UK **1st PRESSING** EP
**NEAR MINT IN ORIGINAL 1960's SHOP BAG**
This hard to find 1966 1st pressing EP is on the UK black & yellow Parlophone label: GEP 8948
Both labels carry the 'Sold in UK..' text and 'Gramophone Co Ltd...' rims.
The 'KT' tax/price code is visible on the side 1 label.
Housed in the correct front laminated, rounded-flipback picture cover.
Also present is an original MINT UK 1960's record shop paper bag.
Matrix numbers: 7TCE 894-1 & 7TCE 895-1
Stamper numbers: 1/L & 1/M
Labels: MINT
No spindle marks to either side.
Visual: NEAR MINT
Pristine, glossy sufaces which appear MINT in daylight.
Close inspection directly under a halogen desk lamp reveal just a few minor sleeve removal marks but no hairlines or scratches.
Both sides of the disc lie totally 100% flat on the turntable without dishing or warping.
Audio: EXCELLENT
Hardly played, there is no groovewear distortion and apart from an occaisional light tick on 'Yesterday', all tracks sound perfect.
Some minor background is audible on the run-ins but there are no clicks, pops, hiss, jumps or repeats anywhere.
Cover: EXCELLENT
A clean and glossy front panel bearing just a light ring from the label & a few minor edge wrinkles but no 'thumbnails' or other wear.
There is slight bruising to the upper corners but the opening edges are in perfect, unworn condition.
The rear panel is bright, clean and white with just a single small 'age spot' but no writing or missing paper.
The 'flipbacks' are all perfect & undamaged and the seams are intact, unstressed and unsplit.
