THE BEATLES - 'YESTERDAY'

This scarce UK 1st pressing of their penultimate 4-track EP dates from initial March 1966 release and is on the black & yellow Parlophone label: GEP 8948

Both labels include the 'Sold in UK..' text & have 'The Gramophone Co. Ltd..' worded rims.

The 'KT' purchase tax code is visible around the centre of the side 1 label.

Matrix numbers: 7TCE 894-1 & 7TCE 895-1

Stamper codes: 2/P & 2/GO

Housed in a front laminated, rounded bi-flipback picture cover.

A clean & bright set with just a small collection of spindle trails around the side 1 centre hole and less on 2.

Visual: EXCELLENT

Extremely clean playing surfaces which retain all of their 'as new' deep-gloss shines and bear only some harmless sleeve removal blemishes in strong daylight but nothing I would call a scratch. Close inspection directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp does little more thn highlight these minor marks but adds no addition marks or wear.

Play: EXCELLENT +

This great sounding copy sounds as good as it looks with clean, clean & unworn sound. The delicate title track plays superbly with no background crackle or interference and the other three tracks play flawlessly with the only distractions being a few light ticks in between the songs themselves.

Cover: EXCELLENT +

A clean, bright and unworn example with a rich and unworn front panel laminate where the only trace of wear are some light wrinkles to the upper & lower edges. All corners and both opening edges are in perfect unworn shape and the rear panel is white and entirely unblemished.
