Description
The Beatles beautifully peeled "Yesterday And Today" T-2553 issued in 1966. This is known as a 3rd-state mono butcher cover because it had a different slick on it (the trunk cover) applied when it was recalled by Capitol Records. The front slick on this one is 100% all there and intact! The famous west coast 'peeling house' of Blue Jay Way Galleries did the spectacular work of revealing the infamous original photo. This is an absolutely guaranteed authentic item. It has no writing anywhere at all (front or back). The back has a small, normal amount of 'yellowing' around the edges for a 40-year old cover. The spine is readable yet has some "alligatoring", and the top and bottom mouth edges have professionally repaired 3-4" seamsplits on the opening side. This peel came out utterly fantastic with no breaks or tears in the photo what-so-ever. It is totally square and perfect for framing. If you, or a special person on your Christmas list, have always wanted a really clear authentic "keeper-copy" butcher cover...here one is. Comes complete with the original east coast record and 'goldenrod orange' sleeve (VG). This is a pressing plant #3. U.S. buyer to pay $6.00 for double-boxed USPS priority shipping. International buyer to inquire for exact shipping cost. Insurance is at the discretion of the buyer. Please email me with any questions.
