Beatles promo on Holiday Inn label with mini-poster & photo-sleeve (see pics). I've only seen one of these before and it was only a partial grouping. Apparently Capitol gave special permissions to Holiday Inn for a mutual promotion in the era of "Beatlemania". Outer "flyer/poster" is about 7 1/2" X 7 1/2" (7 1/2" X 15 unfolded) and was left in guest rooms at the Holiday Inn to promote Holiday Inn by associating the chain-hotel with The Beatles after they were sold to capitol Records. This mini-poster has a serrated seam at the fold and there is about an inch an a quarter where it has separated along the right side of the serration. The smaller sleeve for the record is itself clean, but somewhat wrinkled and discolored along the opening. Vinyl is VG to VG+, with a few hairlines but plays clean; both labels show a bit of rub-wear and have the Capitol logo and catalog number as well as the Holiday Inn logo; the Lady Madonna label has a few tiny stains (see pics).
We have a Merchant Account with ebay, so we accept credit-card and bank-card payments via ebay Cc checkout, or any other payment means, but NO PAYPAL-NO EXCEPTIONS. Ebay is now pushing its "global shipping service", so we will no longer accept bids from international buyers via ebay. All bidder must WAIT FOR AN INVOICE before checking out through the Cc interface, because ebay has also taken to charging MORE for shipping than we have actually posted in the listings; subsequently, this over-management has compelled us to start selling in other venues. Shipping for one to 5 records is generally about $4, so we will invoice with adjusted shipping.
Please contact us via email with any further concerns. On Jun-11-16 at 17:54:27 PDT, seller added the following information:
One bidder ask for more information, so I did a little research:
We usually start with a note explaining that these are from our late-brother's lifelong collection, but we omitted that when we added the explanation of the relist.
I did a bit more research and discovered that Holiday Inn Records was sold to Sam Phillips (famously of Sun records) in the '70s, and later sold to a company in the UK. I anticipate that any recordings authorized by Capitol/Holiday Inn went to the UK with that sale, so this may very well be a later UK product.Consider that McCarney sold the rights to "Yesterday" to Michael Jackson, so McCarney had to PAY Jackson every time he sang that song in a public venue. The same might go for "Inner Light/Lady Madonna" record, which may have been sold to Holiday Inn, which itself ended up in the UK.
