Description
Hello and welcome to my auction!
Before I give you a description of this Beatles vs. the Four Seasons LP, please read the following information carefully.
I’m in the US Military serving overseas here in the Pacific. All items I sell are shipped via USPS Priority mail and must pass thru both the military and civilian postal systems. The military mail system is reliable, but it can be quite slow at times.
PLEASE, PLEASE DO NOT BID ON THIS ITEM UNLESS YOU ARE WILLING TO WAIT 14 TO 28 DAYS FOR IT TO ARRIVE. (The average time shipping time using Priority Mail is about 17 days.) This is an international transaction and your patience in receiving your shipment is greatly appreciated!
ALSO, I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO CANCEL ANY BIDS FROM BUYERS WITH LESS THAN TEN TRANSACTIONS OR THOSE WITH EXCESSIVE NEGATIVE FEEDBACK. Please contact me before bidding if you are new to Ebay or have feedback below 99%. Sorry people I have been burned too many times!
PAYMENT:
BECAUSE OF MY REMOTE LOCATION, THE ONLY METHOD OF PAYMENT I ACCEPT IS PAYPAL. If you do not have a current Paypal account with a “confirmed shipping address”, please DO NOT bid on this auction.
PAYMENT IS DUE WITHIN THREE DAYS OF CLOSE OF AUCTION. Money orders and checks take weeks to arrive, so it’s not a practical way for me to accept payment. Thanks for understanding! I try my best to get your item in the mail to you within 48 hours of payment. Many times I can ship the same day I receive payment.
SHIPPING:
I WILL ONLY SHIP TO YOUR “PAYPAL CONFIRMED” UNITED STATES ADDRESS. SORRY NO INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS. (I’m always glad to ship to other US Military APO and FPO addresses.)
As I mentioned earlier, the only shipping method I use is USPS PRIORITY MAIL. (Parcel Post and space available mail SAM are much too slow.) I HIGHLY RECOMMEND INSURANCE AND I TAKE NO RESPONSIBILTY FOR UNINSURED ITEMS THAT ARE LOST OR DAMAGED IN THE MAIL.
When the auction ends I will calculate shipping charges based on your zip code. I ONLY CHARGE ACTUAL SHIPPING COSTS ON MY AUCTIONS. Unlike other Ebay sellers, I do not try to make a profit on bogus shipping and handling charges!
If you want Insurance, please use the USPS insurance table and simply add the correct amount when you check out on Paypal.

MY GUARANTEE:
I stand behind all my auctions and I offer all buyers a simple, 100% NO HASSLE SATISFACTION GUARANTEE. If for any reason you are not happy with the item you purchased from me, you may return it within 30 days of receipt for a full refund, less all shipping charges. (If the item is new and/or sealed, it must be returned in the same original condition to receive a refund. I think that’s only fair. Don’t you?)
Furthermore, if you can prove to me that my auction description was in any way inaccurate or misleading, I WILL REFUND ALL YOUR SHIPPING CHARGES TOO! What could be more fair than that?
I consider myself an extremely easy and fair person to deal with and will bend over backwards to make our transaction a successful and happy one. Just communicate with me in a friendly manner and you will see how quickly and fairly I will resolve any problems.
FEEDBACK:
When I receive positive feedback from you indicating that we have had a good transaction, I will be more than happy to leave you positive feedback in return.
HOWEVER, IF YOU DECIDE TO LEAVE ME “NEUTRAL OR NEGATIVE FEEDBACK”, MY “100% NO HASSLE SATISFACTION GUARANTEE” IS NULL AND VOID! I will not refund your money or accept any returns. I will consider our transaction final and will not agree to any further debate concerning a refund. This includes using Square Trade! Negative feedback is the wrong way to deal with me and I take great offense when someone damages my Ebay reputation.
BY BIDDING ON MY AUCTION YOU AGREE TO ALL THE TERMS STATED ABOVE. THANKS!
GOOD LUCK AND HAPPY BIDDING!

Up for bid is a rare copy of the 1964 Vee Jay LP- The Beatles vs. the Four Seasons.
Record Condition:
Jacket: This gatefold cover is very clean and shows minor fading, wear and yellowing. There is minor chipping to the seams and corners. The lettering on the spine is still readable, but fading. The four seams are all intact. One of the bottom seams had a two inch split, but I neatly repaired this seam a few years ago. The jacket is flat with no creases or bends. Lastly, the rear scorecard is NOT filled out! There is no writing anywhere on the gatefold.
I would grade this jacket between a VG and VG+.
Vinyl and Labels: The four Seasons record is the better of the two. There are a few scuffs and light scratches on both sides and the labels show light wear.
I would grade the record and label as being in VG+ condition.
The Beatles record shows more wear and defects. More scuffs, light scratches etc. The labels show more spindle wear as it is obvious this record was played more than the other. The side B label had writing in green and I was successful in removing most of it.
I would grade this record as being in VG condition.
Included is a reproduction poster that originally came with this record.
All in all a very good copy of a very rare and expensive Beatles record. If you are a super fussy collector (like me) that only wants VG++ to NM records in your collection, you will not be happy with this copy. But, if you can be content with a less than perfect copy, this may be just the one you were looking for.
Good Luck!
Mike
PS: Every vinyl record that I sell is conservatively graded using the Goldmine Record Grading standards. I list ALL defects that I see. LP’s are shipped in heavy duty cardboard LP mailers with the record removed from the jacket to protect the seams. Your record will arrive clean and protected in a plastic sleeve.

On Nov-04-05 at 20:53:28 PST, seller added the following information: I was looking at this record last night and discovered that there is another flaw to the cover that I failed to mention in my description. The jacket has a small tear/split to the center seam of the gatefold. Not very noticeable, but it should have been mentioned. Sorry, Mike On Nov-07-05 at 14:18:01 PST, seller added the following information:A few potential buyers have asked if my copy is the Mono or Stereo version. This is the MONO version and is not as rare as the stereo version. (Some price guides show a price of $2000 for NM copies of the stereo version!!)
Also, whoever wins this auction please do not use the shipping fee that the Ebay will give you. This amount will not be correct. Send me your zip code at the end of the auction and I will find out what your exact postage is. I will then send you a Paypal invoice for payment. Thanks! Mike
