Description
The time has come for me to part with my 50 year old Beatles collection. This collection consists of LP's, 45's, picture sleeves, EP's, 12" singles, picture discs, sealed LP's, test pressings, acetates, promos, box sets, and CD's from the US and the UK. The collection also includes vinyl and CD's from John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, Ringo Starr, and Apple artists. There are numerous rarities in this collection. The vast majority of the vinyl is in NM- to NM condition; I tried not to acquire anything with a grade below that, or attempted to upgrade, although a few of the extremely hard to find items I was unable to upgrade and they will have a grade below that. If you are a Beatles collector, be sure to bookmark me as the items I'll be listing will surely be of interest. Here we go; a splendid time is guaranteed for all.
The Beatles (with The Swallows)-"The Amazing Beatles & Other Great English Group Sounds" LP, Clarion 601, released in 1966. This is the very scarce Stereo pressing. Hard to believe that in 1966 there were still unofficial LP's on the market using Beatles material. What's ironic is that these have in most cases become more valuable than the Capitol LP's. This features four Beatles tracks (and these were recorded with Tony Sheridan in 1962: "Ain't She Sweet", "Take Out Some Insurance Baby", "Nobody's Child", "Sweet Georgia Brown"). The rest are Beatles songs performed by The Swallows. Vinyl, VISUALLY graded by Goldmine standards, is in strong VG+ condition, with both sides having several very light, non-feelable marks. Both sides still gleam. Cover is also in VG+ condition, with light general age wear, nothing severe, and a pushed bottom left corner. Very scarce piece of Beatles related vinyl, in overall very nice shape.
