*BLACK INNERS-1968/69-UK Original Issues*

Issued with all 1st pressings of 'The Beatles' (White Album) in 1968, Yellow Submarine and Abbey Road in 1969
*
Made from flimsy black paper, with a slight sheen, these original sleeves were very easily damaged, mainly around the centre hole, by the temptation to insert a hand to open them up. The weight of the disc would then cause the soft material to split. The seams too, would very often split along an entire edge. At best, even good examples usually suffer from disc penetration through the soft perimeter edges, as well as heavy creasing to all corners

On offer here, is a truly outstanding pair which will enhance the condition and value of your own collection

All seams are perfect and when viewed from inside, there is no hint of daylight penetration. The single die-cut centre holes are sharp and unworn, which is very unusual. The thin, soft paper tends to be drawn together by the static on the vinyl which does create a disc impression and creasing but this is still quite mild on these lovely examples. The opening edges are straight and unfeathered which, again is very unusual for these delicate items.

All in all, an outstanding addition to your collection, which would be very difficult to improve upon
