Description

This is one of the rarest promotional or test pressing discs I’ve seen.  The disc has only a completely blank white label, but appeared in a custom Capitol sleeve.  The only way to identify it is by the catalog number engraved in the runout groove (7PRO-79889-G1) It is one of several edits of Paul McCartney’s 1989 single “Figure of Eight”.  Two different recordings of this song were released; the first was issued on McCartney’s Flowers in the Dirt album and ran 3:23.  The second version was issued on several singles and promos in various edits, ranging from 3:57 to 5:11.  This test pressing runs 4:04 and has the same recording on both sides. 

This record is in NEAR MINT condition and has been played only once, with a new stylus, to determine what song was on it and the running time.  The sleeve is also NM. 

There can’t be too many of these around and this is an opportunity to pick up a truly rare McCartney collectors disc.
