Although this fabulous disc has been played, it has been handled with great care from new and displays vinyl surfaces in outstanding condition, with little more than just a few tiny marks/wispy lines, mainly visible against reflected bright light. Could only really be bettered by a mint copy (if you can find one)

The Vinyl

Audio: Crystal clear and undiminished throughout, Paul's booming bass (Loud Cut) lines are the main feature of this legendary variant - all tracks deliver a stunning performance, including the easily damage 'Michelle' - occasional static/odd dust pop through the run ins but the tracks play without interference -  no stalls or skips   

Disc: The vinyl surfaces have retained all their original deep gloss lustre - just a few signs of handling - an amazing example

Fabulous pair, with vibrant yellow 'Parlophones' and silver/grey text - spindle trails each side

The Cover

Garrod and Lofthouse tri-flipback - earliest possible 'patents pending' - strong example with general ageing - the front and back are beautifully smooth with no diagonal corner stress bends against the disc - near perfect, pinched ends, spine - back panel is clean and flips are solid and complete - tiny surface blemish, just above George's head (white dot in the photo) - deepest front panel colour tones on this first issue

Inner Sleeve:

 Rarest early issue in top shape with 'made in England' text and correct 'rice paper' liner - no tears, just general ageing

All in all, a fabulous first day, cover, inner and disc - a great addition to any Beatles collection
