READ THIS! These records are NOT sold for perfect sound quality. They’re sold for their scarcity and VISUAL grading. They’ve been in storage for a decade, and they WILL play with surface noise that can be addressed with D4 or a VPI cleaning.  I can’t test-play at the minute. Please don’t bid if this is a problem for you.

Beatles-Rel LP 1969 Modern Jazz Quartet Space UNCONFIRMED APPLE LABEL NM!

No, seriously. 

Think of all of the albums you can, which uses the “Subsidiary of…” label with the Capitol logo for non-Beatles or non-solo Beatles titles.  “Magic Christian Music” is the only one that comes to my mind.  I have heard a report that James Taylor’s first album also has a variation of it, but I’ve never seen one ever.  Heard that Billy Preston’s “That’s the Way God Planned It” was issued with one, never seen one.

This title is unconfirmed.  It doesn’t appear in the price guides.  This copy is gorgeous, and it’s still in the shrinkwrap!

Vinyl--- EX/ NM.  Beautiful piece of vinyl.

Plates--- W1/ W1.  Hand-etched letter “O” appears in the dead wax on both sides, making this copy a Jacksonville pressing.

Cover--- NM. Still in shrinkwrap.  Flawless cover.  Gatefold has never been opened.  Inside of the cover even smells brand new.

Labels--- Both NM.  NO SPINDLE MARKS.

Inner Sleeve--- Issued in a generic plain white sleeve with no die-cut hole for the labels to show through in EX condition.

A generic inner sleeve will be provided, so as not to damage your original Capitol inner sleeve en route.

Hate to give it up!  I hope a serious collector will give it a new home, and appreciate it for what it really is.

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)

(Please note:  Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized.  The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle.  Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix?  Thanks!)
