New York artist Rutherford Chang created this LP in 2013 as an extension of his 'We Buy White Albums' installation in New York.
By playing back 100 used copies of the Beatles' 'White Album' and combining them to form a unique sonic experience, the 'music' drifts out of sync, organically transforming from recognizable tunes into static and bursts of noise.
The cover and labels were created by combining the images of 100 different copies together.
A large poster is included with the image of each individual copy.
The LP received a very short pressing run and was offered for sale only for a short while, before being taken down due to rumoured legal action.
This copy is MINT/STILL SEALED as received directly from Chang 's gallery in November 2013.
