A rare opportunity to acquire a first day copy of this iconic album, selected as a 'sampler' for ATV (Associated Television), which formed part of their extensive record library, this example is in spectacular condition throughout, maybe just a couple of tracks selected for air play, this is a true archive copy and could easily qualify as a final upgrade
I have a collection of ATV library discs, all of which are in near mint condition, having seen minimal play, on top equipment and then archived
There is plenty of information, on line, to give an insight into ATV and it's various TV and radio companies

The Vinyl
Visually: Stunning condition - lovely deep gloss surfaces - nothing more than a few light handling lines - deadwax displays the very early 2M / 1G stamper codes
Audio: Crystal clear, undiminished, rich stereo mix - a little groove noise, on rotation, evident at the beginning of both sides but this is completely lost when the tracks burst into sound - the inevitable, odd dust pop - the superb vinyl surfaces produce near perfect play through all the tracks

The Labels   As you can see from the pictures, they are as good as new - perfect, vibrant colours and beautifully clean throughout - no obvious spindle trails on side 1 and just a single, faint one, close to the hole on side 2 - ATV library sticker (applied to all their discs), side 1 - EMI 'Factory Sample' sticker, side 2

The Cover
Beautifully preserved - earliest possible 'patents pending' (see photo) - much deeper colour tones than subsequent issues, giving the glossy panels a more luxurious appearance - the spine is perfect - all perimeter edges are unworn and sharp - corners nice and square - some mild thumb bends/wrinkles and surface lines - inside gatefold, with it's visible top flips, is near perfect, with super smooth panels, giving a mirror like reflection - a top example in great shape
*   The Inner Sleeve   Original 'Fool' issue - near perfect with no seam splits - a track timing list has been applied over some erased writing underneath

The Cardboard Insert
In perfect condition, having probably never left the sleeve
