Audio from both discs is clear and powerful from this wonderful mono mix
All sides play through with no skips or stalls, just some mild crackle over the run ins and a touch of peak wear at high volume
Both retain a good lustre with no groove whitening
There are numerous careless surface lines and scuffs which do cause a few light ticks and pops but none of these are too intrusive and don't spoil the overall brilliant performance of this iconic double album
*
All labels omit the 'An EMI Recording' text, a feature only found on the earliest pressings and are free from writing, sticker residue and damage, with all text perfectly legible and just the usual collection of spindle trails
*
The G & L cover #0222652, is in superb shape, overall
Digital photos of these sleeves always show them much whiter than they really are. Please bear this in mind when viewing the pictures above. Forty four years of atmosphere and exposure to light, effects the white pigment. I bought my first original 'White Album', second hand, in 1971 and it had already turned cream. Exposed spines can go dark brown.
This example has toned very evenly and fairly mildly compared to most
It has a 'soft cream' toning, with none of the more common yellowing or browning
There are no tears or laminate bubbling present
The spine is strong, with all text perfectly legible and just mild laminate splitting
There are some pressure lines over the surfaces and a scuff line/bruise towards the top right of the front panel (clearly shown in the photo above) but all in all this is still in great condition
*
The black single die cut inner sleeves are genuine originals and are in fantastic condition, one being near perfect the other having more creasing and the beginnings of disc penetration to the seams
However, these are superb examples of this very flimsy, soft paper, item
*
The four photos are near perfect (just a few, barely visible, pressure lines)
*
The rare photo spacer sheet, very often missing, is undamaged and only displays mild creasing and age toning
*
The original G & L 'Lips' lyric poster is near perfect, showing just mild age toning
*
All in all, an outstanding addition to your collection, totally complete with all original components
*
I have other Beatles items listed, please take a look
