Description

These 78s are from Toscanini's first Beethoven cycle with the NBC Symphony Orchestra in 1939. The performance date was October 28, 1939 and the program consisted of the Fidelio Overture and the First and Third Symphonies. The "Eroica" closed the program. These records sound like they have never been played. No pits and no scratches and no chips and no slides. Side 8 has some visual surface rub that does not inhibit play.  In original plain brown sleeves. DBS 8904-10
