Beethoven – The Nine Symphonies – Chicago Symphony Orchestra conducted by Sir Georg Solti, 10 x LP Boxed Set Decca 11BB 188-96, 1975.

This is a nice example of the 9-LP boxed set – Beethoven – The Nine Symphonies by the Chicago Symphony Orchestra conducted by Sir Georg Solit. It was released on the Decca label in 1975 – 11BB 188-96. The nine discs that contain the Symphonies have a recording date of 1975, although some also have an additional date of 1972. The tenth disc has the catalogue No. FREE 1, and it features Sir Georg Solti in conversation with William Mann. The records are all in EX to Near Mint condition. The man I bought this from said that he always used to tape his records and just put them in the cabinet after that and as none of the 18 sides show any marks by the spindle-hole I have no reason to disbelieve him. Each of the records is in a polythene line inner-sleeve.

The box is also in great clean condition. It has no split corners, no rips or grazes – just very slight rubbing at the corners, but I it still grades as EX. Please note that because of its weight I will only post this item to a UK address.
