Beethoven: Violin Concerto in D Major, Op 61
Fritz Kreisler, violin; Berlin State Opera  Orchestra,
Dr. Leo Blech, conductor. Victor Musical Masterpiece Set
M-13 (6-12"mint Victrola scroll discs 80749. Filler: Bach:
Adagio from Solo Sonata in G Minor-Kreisler, solo.
Extremely rare first U.S. edition of 1927 in original gold printed
light green paper cover mounted on cardboard. Records are
absolutely mint. Thank God the recording engineers captured Kreisler
at his peak. His glorious tone and the way he spins out  the
ruminative passages are absolutely mesmerizing. A great testament to
a great artist.


From the private collection of R. Peter Munves, who was in the record business as well as an avid collector for over 50 years and has decided to part with his beloved collection. All albums are from the late 20’s to early 40’s, and many are original, 1st editions containing pristine pressings from the golden age of 78’s. This collection consists of a nearly complete run of RCA Victor Musical Masterpiece Albums and Columbia Masterworks Album Sets. Our listings are drawn from this extensive collection.
