Description
Up for auction is a very nice Bela Lam & His Greene County Singers on the Country series Okeh Electric label # 45407.Recorded on October 15th 1929.Both of these songs are featured on a 2002 Cd titled Virginia Roots The 1929 Richmond Sessions.Songs titled Crown Him on one side and has Glory Bye and Bye on the other side. The Crown Him side in Gorgeous condition with 4 very small extremely light scratches.Has a small amount of extremely light scuffing and a small amount of extremely tiny groove pit marks. One very small light skinny scuff.Has a ton of Beautiful groove shine. The Glory Bye And Bye side has a few very small extremely light scratches.Few extremely light scuffs.About the first 1 inch of grooves on only about 1/6th of the record on the left side has more groove wear than the other 5/6th of the grooves. This may have been caused just by cleaning the record at one time as it looks like rubbing wear.In any case it is still just light groove wear or very light to light scuffing on that area as it still has nice shine.Near same area there is a faint very small light white rub mark or very small scuff that is shown in the last picture. It is very faint and minor as you can see.Its only on the first 5 or 6 grooves at very beginning of song. The rest of grooves has tons of Beautiful shine.Looks to have 6 groove pit marks.1 of the groove pit marks has an extremely tiny dimple which may cause a very light to light heartbeat noise for a few revolutions.Really is a Beautiful 78 even with the partial light wear spot on the one side.100% lam free on both sides. My 78 player is not working right now so I cannot play test it.But if the owner is not 100% satisfied I have a return for refund on the item.I may list a few more country type 20s 78s the next few days. Please check if you like.
