Grading scale for vinyl: Mint ----- Unopened shrink Near mint ----- Vinyl has been opened and played and does not show any scuffs or scratches. Dust noises may be present. Very good++ ----- Vinyl may show some scuffs or scratches, but effect on play is minimal. Very good+ ----- Vinyl shows several scratches that are audible but not overwhelming. Very good ----- Vinyl has scratches that produce constant background noise, or repeated noise when the needle crosses them. Good ----- Background noise from scuffs and scratches is pronounced. Fair ----- Vinyl has deep scratches in which the needle gets stuck.
Grading scale for cover: Mint ----- Unopened shrink Near mint ----- Shrink opened or not present, but carton is strong and not damaged except for minimal shelf wear. Very good++ ----- Carton is minimally damaged, may show sticker, or sticker residue and/or minimal writing. Very good+ ----- Carton seams may be partially split, or show dirt or pronounced writing. Very good ----- Carton may have complete seam split, show ring wear, and dirt and/or excessive writing. Good ----- Carton is dirty and/or completely split but still complete. Fair ----- Cover partially torn up.
