Berliner Record #942

Dixie, sung by George Gaskin

This is an early one, with the date October 14, 1896 clearly inscribed on the handwritten label.  It is in surprisingly good condition for a 116 year old record.  There is a rough start and a couple of short needle runs, but the surface is relatively clean and still maintains a little of it's original shine.  Of course the usual pressing depressions and bumps are present.  I'll grade this one a 7 on a scale of 10.
