British 1st issue film soundtrack to "The Man With The Golden Arm" (1955, dir. Otto Preminger), featuring music composed by Elmer Bernstein.
Jazz sequences arranged and played by Shorty Rogers and His Giants with Shelly Manne.

This film starred Frank Sinatra, Eleanor Parker, Kim Novak, Arnold Stang and Darren McGavin.

Condition (refer also to notes at bottom): VINYL: G+. Looks clean on visual inspection. Just some very light marks, scuffs and hairlines – but no deep scratches. Played just pre-listing and sound clarity is good throughout – and very good in places. Some crackling and surface noise at run-ins and during quieter cues/fadeouts but jazz riffs sound great. Plays with no skipping, jumping or sticking. Overall, an enjoyable listen to this influential and iconic jazz soundtrack.
OUTER SLEEVE/COVER: G+. Colours clear and unfaded (though yellowed) on thin laminated sleeve both sides. A few short creases in from edges. Disc outline visible. Corners have mild scuffs. Edges pinched and undamaged though bottom edge has tiny split towards right corner. Spine clean and unmarked. Aperture lightly dogeared and soiled. Back of sleeve in great shape. Flipovers present and attached but bottom one has small rip/detachment towards left. No other evident flaws here, so G+ overall.
INNER SLEEVE: VG. Poly-lined white sleeve with centre hole. Clean and intact but has crinkling and buckling on spine corners. A very good example.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.

FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced.

POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
