Description
Yellow and black original label. 8 tracks with Booker, piano, vocals; Slam Stewart, bass; John Collins, guitar, "Mr. Skin" drums. Booker was a fine swing to modern jazz pianist, vocalist. I find no discographic information on this record. I assume there were very few copies made with limited distribution. Very rare.
Cover: Fair to VGf(-) 8" split on the top and bottom edges. 2" tear on the spine(no paper loss). There is a 1 1/2" irregular tear line near the top edge of the front cover. Light aging and light soil from ordinary handling on the back cover.
Record: VG+ to Mint(-) Visually shows no wear. Possibly played only 1 or 2 times. There are a few extremely light surface rub marks. In spite of the clean appearance, there are intervals on Track 2 Side 1 of a series of clicks on part of the track. There are some clicks on other tracks. These appear to be isolated nd possibly a function of the early 10" pressing. In general I would characterize the overall record as in fine condition with minimal interference.
