Description
This listing is for a very rare original first US pressing vinyl LP of the album by the band Better Than Ezra called Friction, Baby.
Released in 1996 on black vinyl in the US by Elektra with catalog # 61944-1.
Record Condition:
Moderate signs of visible surface wear are present in the way of some light scuffs and faint hairline non-feelible scratches.
Clean center labels.
Surface noises present at times.
The vinyl still has a very nice gloss.
There's also some light dust/dirt, so a thorough deep cleaning would remove that and probably brighten the sound and appearance even more.
Industry Grade: I would say it's a VG+.
Jacket Condition:
Shelf wear is present on the edges, spine and corners, including a few spots of cardboard creasing.
The spot in the lower right front corner has the most obvious visible wear on the cardboard (see photo).
Minor ring wear is visible on the cover as well as some other small scratches on the jacket's surface.
No seam splits as the jacket is structurally sound.
Original black & white liner notes insert sheet is included and in good condition with only minor wear.
Inner Sleeve: Original generic white paper inner sleeve.
Industry Grade: Conservatively I would grade it as a strong VG.
Please see the various images on this listing for further details on the condition of the record and jacket.
The album comes from the collection of someone who originally purchased this new in the 1990s and has had it stored away for over 25 years until very recently.
Stored in a smoke free home.
