Vinyl: VG+ This is immaculate apart from a couple of small scratchs. I have played both sides through numerous times and there is audio 'noise' on 'Trouble with my lover' just after intro for about 5 seconds, otherwise plays sweet. 'Ride your Pony' side clicks a couple of times about a third of the way in. These really don't take away from the rest of the quality playback. Beautiful sheen. Though "Ride Your Pony" may be the better known track - and the A side - the true gem here is the B-side "Trouble With My Lover". Written and produced by Allen Toussaint, it has all his steaming and funky rhytms. Most of his work have the piano or horns work out the quirky patterns, but this time the emphasis is on the really funky bass playing. Highly sought after, this is a 'southern soul' classic!
