Description


This is Beverly Kenney, Like Yesterday. The first stereo release, Decca DL 78948. Deep grooves on label, label with horizontal rainbow pattern.

Belonged at one time to Jack Schapps, who owned three music stores in shopping centers in suburban Chicago and was also the owner of Astra Records. One store was in the Randhurst Shopping Center. Schapps had worked for RCA records before going into retail. (A photocopy of an inscription to Schapps by Eydie Gorme on one of her albums is included with this sale, shown as the last photo here).
CONDITION
Disk. Clean but there are some paper marks that have are not audible on our turntable and two actual very light scratches that track fine but have the effect of light surface noise, which does not detract from the enjoyment. On balance somewhere between VG and VG+.
Jacket. Near Mint. Edges and corners clean all the way around, no ringwear, colors bright, back cover white. No marks or bumps. However there is a diagonal crease over the singer's head on the front panel, perhaps from aging and paper stretching, only visible in a raking light. Might press out.

Inner sleeve. The original clear plastic inner sleeve in only Good condition.
