Description
This is a very rare PUNK / SYNTH single by the UK band 'BEYOND THE IMPLODE' from 1980. A guaranteed ORIGINAL. I was one of the band members and I have owned this since it was pressed in 1980!!! It is in new condition. This single is on many PUNK and SYNTH collectors 'want' lists, and has been comped !!! The single came out on the private DIVERSE RECORDS, catalogue number DIVERSE 102, A real private press, with a real home made fold over sleeve (which I designed myself), and stamped labels, a rare find and an ORIGINAL pressing !!!
The songs are: 11TH HOUR BREAKDOWN / LOOK BACK AND CRASH / LASSITUDE.
The condition of the FOLD OVER SLEEVE is EXCELLENT, the VINYL is Mint. This is a rare PUNK / SYNTH single.
The E.P. was given airplay on several occasions by the late BBC Radio 1 DJ John PEEL (RIP) who often complimented our tracks.
This is my own personal copy of the EP. I was the synth player and I have autographed the record on the inner sleeve, which I designed. Here is some more information from the net http://www2wales.co.uk/lpool/B.htm
This single is extremely rare - only 250 copies were ever made, but most of them were destroyed about 10 or so years ago. Extract from the write-up: "2nd line up (1980) was Eddie Smith (voc), Ian Gardler (bass), Kev Shields (me) (on keys) (later Havoc of Fusion) (from Runcorn), Keith Discreet (bass) (later Avant Garde Elitists) and Nick Evans (drms)". We had some of our mates to do backing vocals; Peter Thomas (DJ at Swinging Apple) and Ste O'Leary. "This was the line-up for the 2nd EP '11th Hour Breakdown' (DIVE 102). 250 copies, some sold via the L'pool rec shops but the majority were off-loaded to Paw (who went bust, stored them in the owners garage for years and finally trashed them about 10 years ago!)."
