Description
An original white “Riverside” label, 1st (fairly thick vinyl) pressing, without the characteristic “deep-groove”. The disc plays through beautifully (especially for a 60 year old record) w/only bits of surface-noise here and there in between a couple of tracks, and a tic on “My Romance”. The overall sound and visual condition is unworn—deep Mono clarity is present. The record shows minor handling only. An excellent copy, and a rare antiquity (only 800 of these sold back in 1957). This is/was an extremely rare “Export” copy to Gt. Britain (most likely to Military posts). The runouts carry the original matrix etchings (A side matrix RLP-12-223-A-1 (very shallow etching) 16 I & B side matrix RLP-223-B-3 16I). Additional U.S. and Gt. Britain machine stamped patent numbers then follow.
The record was found with it’s original sleeve entirely split. However, the front and rear slicks are still presentable. The original inner is included and repaired.
