Bill Evans. Trio 64. Verve Records(V6-8578). Stereo. 1964.

The pianist Bill Evans(1929-80) recorded this overlooked trio album at Webster Hall, New York City on December 18, 1963 with bassist Gary Peacock(who's recorded with Paul Bley, Albert Ayler & Keith Jarrett) plus drummer Paul Motian. And this albums is really somethin' else! Gary Peacock fits in perfectly with this group and really helps steer the music in interesting directions. I would also say that the cost of the album is worth it just for the song "Santa Claus Is Coming To Town", what a track!
