Description
Bill Evans Trio: EXPLORATIONS first pressing blue label Riverside #351 MONO original with Bill Evans, Scott LaFaro and Paul Motian recorded in New York on February 2, 1961. Record, and label in excellent condition. Plays clean. The jacket grades at vg+ because there is a bit of a crease middle of the right side front. and the top & bottom edges have been taped to repair . No names or writing anywhere. On the back you will find the original price tag shows it was marked down from $4.98 to $3.75. Kind of a cool touch. Came from the collection of a very serious jazz aficionado. The inner sleeve is the one got with it, probably the original. It's almost like wax paper but not waxy. Other copies I see don't show the inner sleeve. This is a very nice original pressing for the serious collector who wants to experience the warm rich analog sound the way it was ment to be. Not much in the way of spindle marks. Plays beautifly. The blue lable and black vinyl were tricky to photograph and the blue came out lighter than it is in real life and the reflections in the black make things hard to see. If i get a chance I'll put in some better pics. Bidding starts at $149.00
