Description

William "Bill" Smith Monroe, aka, "The Father of Bluegrass" was born in Rosine, KY on 9-13-1911 and died on 9-9-1996 after a stroke.   Bill was active from 1927 -1996.    His Bean Blossom Festival is now the oldest running bluegrass festival in the world.  Most of the famous bluegrass players have ALL played with Bill Monroe & The Bluegrass Boys, i.e. Ralph Stanley, Jimmy Martin, Ricky Skaggs, Kenny Baker, Lester Flatt, Earl Scruggs, Bobby & Sonny Osborne, etc.      All of my albums are very gently used and shipped USPS Media Mail.
