Description

This is an original Starday Custom press of Dixie 803, "Going Down To Sal's House" / "Poor Man" by Bill Willis.  Bill gets some great assistance from Goldie Norris on the "Sal's House" side.  Visually, the "Sal's House" side grades (conservatively) a strong VG, mainly due to a scuff at the outer edge of the record that is audible on my turntable for only the first revolution.  It is inaudible after the first round on my turntable.  Take the scuff away, and the visual grade becomes a weak VG+.  The play grade is VG+, with a few single, isolated ticks being the only thing I hear when I play it back.  The "Poor Man" side carries a visual grade of VG+ and a play grade of VG++.  See scans for label conditions...no writing, sticker residue, or tears. Bidding starts low just to try to keep it fair and fun.  Free shipping worldwide on this one, please consider that if you decide to bid on it.  If you have never heard this one, it is on youtube for your listening pleasure...."Sal's House" is a real classic with some great, funny lines in it.  (The peach pie line cracks me up every time).  If the high bidder is not satisfied, I will refund the bid price once I have received the same record back in the same condition.  Thanks for looking, and good luck if you decide to bid!
