Billie Holiday - Commodore 4 x 78 record album set CR2

I'm selling this for a friend who has set a modest reserve -mainly as he is sad to see this wonderful set go. The first thing I did was to put each record in its' own paper sleeve to keep pressure off the album and its' amazing cover art. To be clear, the cover is strong and in tact and all of the inner sleevs are fine.

I have sold many rare and valuable LPs here on ebay and so far everyone has been *very* pleased with my grading. But, with this said, I don't know much about grading or selling 78s - so forgive me if I am overly verbose in my attempts to describe the set. Man, I wish you could just come by and take a look and leave with them tucked under your arm :)

With the exception of one side, I think all of these records are in really nice shape. The one exception has a sort of scuff/scrape (a 'dig?') on the outer inch. I put this pic at the very bottom so as to make it easy to find. None of the other sides have any major defects to take away from their playability - only minor surface issues. As a general grade of the set, I'd give it maybe VG/VG+? The records could use a cleaning, but aren't too bad considering they are over 50 years old. It is pretty rare to find this set in tact and so playable.

I did some research online to help guide me in grading the side, but with no point of reference, I tried to err on the side of grading conservatively. So, taking my 78 grades with a grain of salt, below is my attempt at grading each side (using this scale: EX, Ex-, VG+, VG, VG-). I haven't play graded - again because I don't have any real point of reference as to how a 78 should sound. But, I do have a 78 setup available to me if you want me to check for skipping or anything on a particular side.

• 527-A - I gotta Right to Sing the Blues (VG/VG+)
• 527-B - Yesterdays (VG)
• C 553-A - I'll Be Seeing You (VG+)
• C 553-B - I'll Get By (VG+)
• 559-A - I Cover the Waterfront (this is has that dig (?) in outer inch, otherwise VG/VG+. I assume the dig makes it a G or some scary grade like that)
• 559-B - Lover Come Back to Me (VG+)
• 569-A - She's Funny That Way (VG)
• 569-B - How amd I to Know (VG+)
