Description
Washington (Riverside) 707, "Travelin' Man" with Billy Faier, banjo and vocals, from 1957. This is the early 1960s gold-label Washington pressing. Vinyl plays at NM with virtually no background sound. Jacket is in excellent condition with solid seams all around and a bit of wear on the bottom. There is otherwise no ringwear, rubwear, corner wear, bends, writing, or stamps, and jacket back is extremely clean. Songs are "Travelin' Man", "Downfall of Paris", "Billy the Kid", "Bahamian Lullaby", "Wind in the Trees", "The Dying British Sergeant", "The Great Assembly", "Galveston Flood", "Soldier's Joy", "Miner's Lifeguard", "Pay Day at Coal Creek", "Nine Pound Hammer", "Diane's Reel", and "The Hellbound Train". Shipping is $4.00 media mail, $8.00 priority mail within the continental U.S.; $16.00 regular airmail to the U.K., Europe, Japan, Korea, Australia, and New Zealand. Regrets over the overseas costs, but this is a heavy record. Additional LPs in a single package are $1.00 additional within U.S. and Canada, $2.00 elsewhere. For overseas shipments, registered mail is strongly recommended at $11.75 extra. Many old records are practically antiques and should be treated that way. This LP will be packaged with the record inside an inner sleeve but outside the jacket; both are placed inside a sealed outer sleeve and shipped inside a special oversized handcrafted mailer with padding on all sides. It is designed thick enough not to be bent in transit and strong enough to withstand a drop from a second-story window. More than two LPs together may be mailed inside a heavy Bags Unlimited pizza-style box. Your LP should arrive in the same condition as on the day it was shipped. All used LPs are play-graded on a VPI turntable with Audioquest tonearm and Grado cartridge.
