Billy Floyd – ‘Sweeter Than Candy’ / ‘One Chance’ – 20th Century-Fox 6678 (US)

 

Philadelphia’s Billy Floyd cut only two records, this one in the summer of 1967, and ‘My Oh My’ / ‘Time, Made You Change (Your Mind)’, which came out on Arctic to little fanfare about a year later. All four Billy Floyd sides were produced by Raymond Eskridge and Dan Di Tomasso. While the Arctic record is infinitely more scarce – and ‘Time’ is a powerful dancer – this two-sider is arguably the better record. “Sweeter than apple brandy?” Man, that is sweet.

Condition: Excellent (please listen to the clips). Clean labels with ever so slight yellowing; originally a promo, but the information pertaining to this has been rubbed out on both sides (please see scans).

Registered and insured shipping (with a tracking number) is an additional US $11.00 per parcel to cover a total value not exceeding $80.00. The surcharge is US $16.00 for a total value of up to $1,550.00 (which is the maximum). Please get in touch for further combined shipping rates.

Shipping from Sweden is expensive – though the rest of the world is surely catching up – not least due to the fact that the weight increments are few and far apart, but it’s usually swift and safe.

American bidders, kindly note that shipping to the US is not US $4.00; this is eBay’s default setting and not applicable as I am based in Sweden. Please use the postage rates above, or wait for my invoice. Thank you!
