BIRDLAND with LESTER BANGS Original LP / Out of Print / Rare Add On Records AD #101 1986
( with original "very rare" Glossy band photo!!!! SEE PHOTO )
CONDITION: Vinyl is Near Mint (NM), with just scant sleeve brushings. Cover/Artwork/Sleeve are all Very Good plus (VG+), with some edge wear and corner bumps. Hint of ring wear to top front cover; otherwise, clean and bright! Glossy Band Photo is Mint (M)!

Leslie Conway "Lester" Bangs (December 13, 1948 – April 30, 1982) was an American music journalist, author, and musician. He wrote for Creem and Rolling Stone magazines and was known for his leading influence in rock music criticism. Bangs was also a musician in his own right. He teamed up with Joey Ramone's brother, Mickey Leigh, to put together a New York City group named Birdland. In 1980, he traveled to Austin, Texas, and met a punk rock group named the Delinquents. During his stay in Austin, he recorded an album as Lester Bangs and the Delinquents entitledJook Savages on the Brazos.
