Description

An early 1970 garage beat classic from Perth - The Birds - a band who emigrated from the UK and used the same name as an English  band  (that featured Ronnie Wood) and also recorded two of their songs on Martin Clarkes Clarion label - this is the 2nd 45 from the band (also have the 1st one available now on separate listing and the 3rd one was sold last week). This is another super-rarity that sold hardly a copy at the time - this comes with promo bullet sticker.

Birds - I See The Rain/Rene - Clarion MCK 3474 (Jan 1970)  

Condition - EX     In original Festival promo plastic sleeve - in great condition with just the faintest of marks. A seriously collectable gem!! As I mentioned in the other listing, two of the members (Terry Clarke and Brian Curtis) hailed from the English group of the same name!! I will leave the experts to  debate the validity of that information but that is what is printed on the promo sheet for the other 45. Not sure if this one ever had a promo sheet or not - I have never seen one!! 

I have a huge collection of Australian-pressed 45's of rare garage, beat, and r' n' b from both Australian and Overseas artists. It is all going to be sold off so watch this space!!
