This is The Beatles Mono Please Please Me Album on the BLACK & GOLD PARLOPHONE LABEL PMC 1202.YET ITS THE COVER THAT IS INTERESTING.IT MUST BE RARER THEN THE WHITE ALBUM NO 0000000001!!!!!!! In all my years of record collecting I have never come across anything like this!!. If you look at John Lennons Forehead it looks like he has a Mystical green Pendant hanging down (See Photo's). It is actually a printing error!!.The green is actually under the top shiny coat!!! I think that this must be one of the very early sleeves that was rushed out to the shops and not really checked.The record itself has some light scratches, it doesn't jump and there is no scratches that really click, but you can occasionally LIGHTLY hear the scratches in the background especially on the odd ballad.The label's are still bright and all the writing is clearly readable. There is the ZT near the centre. The vinyl itself still retains its original shine.The Dick James Mus. Co. have the publishing credit for- I Saw Her Standing There,Misery,Ask Me Why,Please Please Me,Do You Want To Know A Secret, There's A Place. For some reason The Record Collector Rare Price Guide book does not mention Dick James Mus. Co. having the publishing credit for ASK ME WHY. The front cover itself is very clean and bright and the only fault that I can really see on the front is a crease at the very top above the "T" in The Beatles, which is about 3/8" long.The back is very clean also and has a shine to the paper, it was printed and made by Ernest J. Day & Co. Ltd London.The only real fault on the back is that the flap at the bottom righthand corner has has folded over. I think that you can see this in the photo.There is no splits in the spine or on the bottom, where the crease is at the top it looks like it may have slightly (very slightly) gone thought the flap.The sleeve still retains its original stiffness and all all the corners are square, and I will repeat this the cover is very clean. The white at the top righthand corner in the photo of the front of the cover is off the light A RARE BLACK AND GOLD PARLOPHONE MONO LABEL, YET A VERY, VERY RARE SLEEVE!!!!!!!!!.I am starting the bidding at a nominal amount but to be honest I have no idea what this is worth Due to the sleeve. The cover is in better condition than it looks in the photo's.
