DESCRIPTION: Black Sabbath LP- 1st self titled LP. Early UK press with 1Y1/2Y2 matrix, gatefold sleeve with black interior and "Dunbar" credit, vertigo swirl inner and small swirl labels. Packed this weighs over 500gm so overseas postage is as for a double. Postage cost includes full insurance, Defenda Box packaging and tracking. LABEL AND CATALOGUE NUMBER: Vertigo VO 6 847 903 YEAR OF RELEASE: 1971. COUNTRY OF RELEASE: UK CONDITION (VINYL/COVER): VG+/EX. Vinyl is really clean with a nice dark sheen. Just a few very soft scuffs and a touch of very light misting to part of Side A prevents visual EX grade but has no effect on playback . Played all of this tonight on my budget deck. Sits flat on the turntable. Sounds Excellent. Music is clean, clear and loud. Really powerful, excellent sound. Even the intro to "Black Sabbath" sounds just about as clean as you will get. No issues or noticible background sound throughout. Cover is in very clean condition- check out the photos. It is firm and square and has only light edgewear, light cornerwear and minimal creasing. Super clean inside to gatefold sleeve. Nice shape retained to spine. Swirl inner is in really clean condition, a strong EX with only light wear, fully attached poly with no tears around centre, no splits and no writing. Very clean labels- check out the photos. No writing, rips, stickers or sticker tears.PLEASE CHECK OUT MY OTHER SABBATH/HARD ROCK LISTINGS IN MY EBAY SHOP. Grading system: I use UK’s “Record Collector” Grading system. I DO PLAY EVERY RECORD I LIST NOW even though its often just quite briefly. Please bear in mind you may get a touch of background sound, even if its just on intros and between the tracks on 30-40 year old vinyl records!! :: MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface mark or deterioration in the sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in the sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover, or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound has noticably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding,scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration etc. I will at times use a + or - to indicate when a record falls between the grades. I REMOVE ALL VINYL FROM SLEEVES PRIOR TO POSTING. RECORDS ARE SENT IN BEST QUALITY MAILERS WITH 2 STIFFENERS. I ALWAYS COMBINE POSTAGE BUT COST DEPENDS ENTIRELY ON WEIGHT OF PACKAGE. EACH EXTRA SINGLE DISC LP IS ROUGHLY £1.75 TO EUROPE, £2.75 TO THE AMERICAS AND £3.25 TO THE REST OF THE WORLD.
