DESCRIPTION: Black Sabbath LP- Master Of Reality. 1st UK Vertigo swirl pressing with embossed laminated box, correct reverse swirl inner dated 0671 and matrix ending 1Y1/2Y1. Packed this weighs over 500gm so overseas postage is as for a double. LABEL AND CATALOGUE NUMBER: Vertigo 6360 050 YEAR OF RELEASE: 1971 COUNTRY OF RELEASE: UK CONDITION (VINYL/COVER): VG/VG. Vinyl is very clean with only a few very light hairlines. Played in its entirety tonight on my budget deck. Sits flat on the turntable. Sounds Excellent generally. Music is clean, clear , loud and powerful. Side 1 plays a very strong EX throughout. On side 2 there is a soft repetitive tick during "Orchid". "Solitude" plays as cleanly as i have heard it playing and the rest of side 2 plays loud and clear as well. I like the sound of this more than any other Sabbath Lp and this copy plays fine. Box cover has been stored with 2 cut stiffeners inside to preserve the shape and its made a good job of it- check out the photo of the spine side to show the depth retained by the box. Cover is pretty firm and square and has moderate edgewear (it has a number of patches blacked in on top edge mainly- see final photo), light cornerwear and light to moderate creasing. Original reverse swirl inner is in nice shape. Poly is still attached and it has no edge splits except for a 2" split where top edge joins opening edge. Really clean labels. No writing, rips, stickers or sticker tears. PLEASE CHECK OUT MY OTHER SABBATH/PUNK/METAL/CLASSIC/HARD ROCK LISTINGS IN MY EBAY SHOP. Grading system: I use UK’s “Record Collector” Grading system. I DO PLAY EVERY RECORD I LIST NOW even though its often just quite briefly. Please bear in mind you may get a touch of background sound, even if its just on intros and between the tracks on 30-40 year old vinyl records!! :: MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface mark or deterioration in the sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in the sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover, or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound has noticably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding,scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration etc. I will at times use a + or - to indicate when a record falls between the grades. I REMOVE ALL VINYL FROM SLEEVES PRIOR TO POSTING. RECORDS ARE SENT IN BEST QUALITY MAILERS WITH 2 STIFFENERS. I ALWAYS COMBINE POSTAGE BUT COST DEPENDS ENTIRELY ON WEIGHT OF PACKAGE.
