Great example of this super rare record which was bought new by my parents so has been in the family a long time. Sad to see it go!
The embossed, laminated outer sleeve has the usual bubbling/creasing/wear to the laminate but feels very solid indeed considering its age. There is a small circular scuff or something on the H in 'Sabbath' and some small patches of wear on some of the spines.
The swirl inner is probably the best I've seen in person, some light creases but no seam splits.
The poster is in excellent shape, again some light creases but no marks from Blu Tack or pin holes so I doubt this has ever been on a wall. Edit: I've had a few questions and yes, having been bought new by my parents this will be original, I'm sure they had no idea about reproductions and I've had it for the last 20 years anyway. It's 68.5cm x 45.5cm and has a matte finish.
The record itself is fairly dusty and could definitely do with a clean before you play it but underneath that the surface is impressively shiny and new looking throughout both sides. The same can't be said of some of their other old records so I'm guessing this one wasn't pulled out much! I can see a couple of small, light patches of groove wear though, typical of a lot of the turntables that seemed to be used back then.
This will be carefully packed in an oversized mailer to help protect the corners during transit.
