Description
I am selling here an extremely rare copy of the classic self-titled Black Sabbath album. Six versions of this album were released in the UK during 1970 but this is the highly sought after first pressing which was limited in numbers and released on February 13th 1970.
The details to confirm it is the original first press are:
Vertigo, VO 6/847 903 VTY, UK, February 13th 1970.
Titles and credits in big letters, "subsists in all Stereo recordings" on cover.
On label: "A Philip Record product" under the Vertigo big swirl which only appears on the first press.
The record comes complete with the big swirl poly-lined original inner sleeve.
The inside of the gatefold album is coloured black complete with the inverted cross.
The condition of the cover is very good for an album which is 42 years old, there is a little wear to the spine and there is also a small price sticker in the top left hand corner. There are signs of shelf wear which is to be expected, the original big swirl inner sleeve is in very good condition and has no rips or tears.
The vinyl itself is in excellent condition, it has a few light sctratches but this does not affect the listening experience of such a classic record.
