- DESCRIPTION: Black Sabbath- Paranoid LP. Original UK pressing with small swirl labels, fully laminated sleeve and 1Y2/2Y2 matrix. LABEL AND CATALOGUE NUMBER: Vertigo 6360 011: YEAR OF RELEASE: 1971. COUNTRY OF RELEASE: UK: CONDITION (VINYL/COVER): F(please read on)/VG. Vinyl is clean but with a lot of surface lines, hairlines and scuffs mainly on side 2. Played all of this tonight on my budget deck. Sits flat on the turntable. Music is loud and prominent throughout. It also has ticks and some clicks, at times repetitive. Side One is visually superior to side two. It must be near VG if not VG and the sound is VG. "War Pigs" "Paranoid" and "Iron Man" all play pretty clean , "Planet Caravan" is not bad at all, just a trickle of background sound and the odd tick, pretty much average really. Side 2 has a couple of more noticible surface marks. One of them causes around 10 skips in the early part of "Electric Funeral" .It plays through fine after the first minute or so. "Hand Of Doom" plays fairly quietly initially then has about 10 skips when it comes to the 2nd significant mark. "Rat Salad" and "Fairies Wear Boots" play well, around VG again. Basically it has 2 pretty bad scratches on side 2, the rest plays through okay. Cover is in decent shape, lower end VG. It is firm and square and has only light edge wear ,moderate to heavy corner wear and not much more than moderate creasing.. No writing to inside of gatefold, Clean labels- just check out the photos. No writing, rips, stickers or sticker tears. PLEASE CHECK OUT MY OTHER SABBATH/CLASSIC/HARD ROCK/KRAUT/PSYCH/METAL LISTINGS IN MY EBAY SHOP. Grading system: I use UK’s “Record Collector” Grading system. I DO PLAY EVERY RECORD I LIST NOW even though its often just quite briefly. Please bear in mind you may get a touch of background sound, even if its just on intros and between the tracks on 30-40 year old vinyl records!! :: MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface mark or deterioration in the sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in the sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover, or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound has noticably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding,scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration etc. I will at times use a + or - to indicate when a record falls between the grades. I REMOVE ALL VINYL FROM SLEEVES PRIOR TO POSTING. RECORDS ARE SENT IN BEST QUALITY MAILERS WITH 2 STIFFENERS. I ALWAYS COMBINE POSTAGE BUT COST DEPENDS ENTIRELY ON WEIGHT OF PACKAGE.
