Test pressings are the very first vinyl records made at the pressing plant, sent to band members, producers, or record labels to check sound quality before mass production. They are often unlabelled or carry plain, handwritten, or factory labels — and are limited to a handful of copies. For collectors, these are true artefacts of music history.

This set includes:

  • ✅ The “white sample” — a full mock-up of the packaging created before commercial release

What is a “White Sample”?

A white sample is a pre-production packaging mock-up used for internal approval before final retail manufacturing. It typically includes unprinted or low-res packaging elements (e.g. white or blank box exterior, mock-up book or poster proofs) and is created in a single copy only — often hand-assembled at the label or printer for final sign-off.

Unlike mass-produced box sets, only one white sample is ever made per release. Coupled with the test pressings, this set offers museum-level rarity.
