DESCRIPTION: Black Sabbath LP- Vol 4. 1st UK pressing with 1Y1/2Y1 matrix ("PORKY"/PECKO") , no "Made in England" on label, swirl inner and gatefold sleeve with still attached booklet. Packed this weighs over 500gm so overseas postage is as for a double. LABEL AND CATALOGUE NUMBER: Vertigo 6360 071 YEAR OF RELEASE: 1972 COUNTRY OF RELEASE: UK CONDITION (VINYL/COVER): F+(Please read on)/VG. Vinyl is clean with a nice sheen. Played in its entirety today on my budget deck. Sits flat on the turntable. Sounds VG if not pretty close to Excellent. Music is generally clean,clear and loud.. Trace of background sound in quietest passages only (" FX"). It has one split second skip about a minute into "Wheels Of Confusion" for no apparent reason hence low grade. Cover is in decent shape. It is firm and square and has only light edgewear, cornerwear and creasing. It has a thin strip of tippex on the "l" of Vol on the front sleeve, see final photo. Booklet is becoming detached from sleeve- it can easily be reaffixed. There is a discrete line of cellotape residue to front side of gatefold where booklet has previously been affixed. Swirl inner is in poor shape with a few strips of tape residue and a a couple of lengthy splits. Album title written on one corner of swirl inner. Check out the photos. Nice clean labels. No other writing, rips, stickers or sticker tears. PLEASE CHECK OUT MY OTHER PUNK/METAL/CLASSIC/HARD ROCK LISTINGS IN MY EBAY SHOP. Grading system: I use UK’s “Record Collector” Grading system. I DO PLAY EVERY RECORD I LIST NOW even though its often just quite briefly. Please bear in mind you may get a touch of background sound, even if its just on intros and between the tracks on 30-40 year old vinyl records!! :: MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface mark or deterioration in the sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in the sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover, or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound has noticably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding,scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration etc. I will at times use a + or - to indicate when a record falls between the grades. I REMOVE ALL VINYL FROM SLEEVES PRIOR TO POSTING. RECORDS ARE SENT IN BEST QUALITY MAILERS WITH 2 STIFFENERS. I ALWAYS COMBINE POSTAGE BUT COST DEPENDS ENTIRELY ON WEIGHT OF PACKAGE.
