Description

Black Sabbath-Vol.4

6360071 Stereo Matrix 1Y  /  1

                                       2Y  /  1

Earliest matrix with PORKY/PECKO hand etched on the run offs confirming that it is the genuine , very first pressing of this Sabbath rock classic ! The very first UK pressing, and an excellent FIRST issue gatefold sleeve .

Complete with coloured booklet, attached to gatefold sleeve.

Inner vertigo swirl bag also present, poly lined with a slight age discoloration. One minor lateral seam split 2cms/one tear on central edge. (VG+)

THE very first UK pressing of this magnificent hard rock psyche .

Labels- Very bright spiral vertigo format in very good+ condition with slight discoloration. Light spindle trace only  . Very rare to locate like this as most were heavily played.

Sleeve in Ex/Ex- condition.

1st issue “Howards Printers manufactured” gatefold sleeve and a pleasure to view . Hardly any spinal nor edge wear visible .Corners are sharp and pointed. Very minor sticker damage on top right, hardly noticeable. Spine in excellent condition with title clearly legible . Front/reverse faces are still retaining a deep black coloration with minor rubbing to surfaces and are simply in superb condition. Booklet is excellent.

Booklet

Attached to gatefold and are still held tight to the sleeve. Booklet is in wonderful format and each page is as fresh and as new as the day it was issued. Amazing visual and feel, ultra clean , with no rips, nor tears. Coloration is unfaded and displays some of the best Sabbath pics ever taken during their live concert performance.

A rare exhibit indeed and highly sought after in this remarkable condition.  The gatefold outer faces are well maintained and its unlaminated surfaces are better than most, as many album sleeves have finger prints and massive ring/surface wear but this gatefold must be one of the better examples . The outer front and reverse faces show only minor rubs  and is truly a pleasing exhibit ,  ring wear and handling contact minimal. Most are found heavily marked and badly worn.

Vinyl

Occasional surface marks if examining under a strong halogen . Has a mirror like glaze! Ex- visual .

Audio-BRILL! BRILL! BRILL! Sensational aural delivery with NO distortion, NO hisses …..Ex for most of playback  .These wider vertigo channels are quite sensational and  project a deep resonant tone on the bass and percussion beats .

TO BE PLAYED EXTRA LOUD!!!
