Description

An original 1st press of the debut - SACRIFICE. Bearing more than a passing resemblance to the output of the band FAMILY (which miraculously hailed from the same city!). Matrix A1/B1. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original gatefold cover printed by E J Day. We also have the original CBS inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Vg+) In great condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of light marks per side - nothing troublesome though. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT with just minor deviation in a couple of spots. The audio is pretty fussy, but this heavy pressed copy is more than delivering the goods. Plays nice and clean. Expect just a few crackles in one spot per side - and perhaps a couple of isolated ticks. Overall a very decent original 1970 offering.
Cover (Vg+) Whilst this cover looks like it is black at the edges the true colour is actually closer to navy blue or midnight blue. The surfaces are looking pretty dapper with minimal surface wear. The interior looks great and doesn't appear to have aged much as many original copies will have done by this point in time. Do expect a bit of edge wear and someone's inked a lot of it in. To be fair it has tidied it up a good bit. But just bear in mind the ink is black and the background colour nearer navy blue. So, you will spot this here and there at the edges. The text on the spine is mostly legible with just a touch of wear in the odd spot. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg) Aged. But no splits.
