The cover on this copy might not be up to some folks requirements. But it is priced competitively and the LP could well be an upgrade path for someone looking for a sweet playing copy.
Original 1st press of BF on the Polydor label from 1969. Matrix A1/B1. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original 1st issue non-laminated gatefold cover. The very 1st issue covers also had a distribution sticker applied on the interior right hand panel at the foot. This copy obviously had one originally, but has detached at some point.
Vinyl (Ex) A very nicely preserved '69 Lp which has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection there are a few light marks either side - nothing heavy or likely to cause significant issue. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback with one slight deviation. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. Interference is both minor and infrequent. All we could detect were a few crackles in a couple of spots and a few ticks briefly in the mid-section of 'Do What You Like'. Otherwise a very impressive all round rendition.
Cover (Vg) Can only give a bottom level grading on this one as it has seen a bit of wear down the years. Front and back are ok - there's some low-level handling in places and the odd mark [nothing horrendous]. The interior is ok, but do expect a bit of ageing to be present. Whilst the sticker marker stands out - it's also proof of very 1st issue. There's a fair bit of edge wear and it has worn through at the top of the right panel for a couple of inches. The spine is ok - with most of the text just about legible. But do expect a bit of wear and tape on the spine.
